Draw it with a finger or trackpad, type it in a handwriting face, or upload a photo of a signature on white paper with the background removed. Drawn signatures on a phone usually look best — the touch surface gives a natural line.

Placing it accurately

Drop it onto the signature line and drag to size. Add initials on other pages, a date field and a printed name where the document asks for one. Keep the signature roughly the height of the surrounding text so it looks native rather than pasted.

Flatten before sending

Flattening merges signature and form content into the page so it cannot be dragged, deleted or edited by the recipient. Always flatten the copy you send, and keep an unflattened version for yourself.
