Adding a logo to a letterhead, a photo to a report or a stamp to an approval page is a two-minute job that often looks wrong because of resolution and transparency.

Use the right file

A PNG with a transparent background sits cleanly on the page; a JPG brings a white rectangle with it. For logos, always start from PNG or a vector export.

Resolution

An image that looks fine on screen can be blurry in print. Insert something around twice the size you need on the page, then scale it down — never scale a small image up.

Position and layering

Drag to place, drag corners to size, and keep the aspect ratio. Images sit above page content, so place them in margins or empty areas rather than over text you still need.
